TSA OSTWALD:

TSA Ostwald returned successfully from Baltimore

After an exciting week in Baltimore the Team of TSA Ostwald returned to Germany on the 4th of July. It was the 10th participation in TSA National Conference for our team and as used to it was a very successful one, too. We placed 7 times (more than ever) and achieved one 2nd and one first place, special thanks to our advisors Mr. Dr. Jost and Mr. Januszewski for all the help and support. And here's the team of this year:

René Martin (10), Charlotte Duesmann (10), Laura Pasitka (10), Arne Hainke (11), Nguyen Ngoc Duong (11), Robin Heilmann (11), Firas Souleiman (12), Christian Müller (11), Kai Hainke (11), Marcel Hasselhorst (12) (from left to right) and another teammate is our nice photographer Franziska Scharf (11)

The Team from the Wilhelm-Ostwald-School did a pretty good job in the USA and these are the results:

1st Place Film, 2nd place Cyberspace Pursuit , 7th place Desktop Publishing, 4th and 7th place Scientific Vizualization, 5th and 9th place Promotional Graphics.

A few of the projects can be found online :

And yet the projects weren't the only things we enjoyed really much, but also meeting the Chapter of the Abingdon High from Virginia and especially the Family Dreyzehner, who were always so kind to us and  showed us a variety of the culture of their nation. For example we visited the capitol and Washington D.C. as well as  the Amish People in the vicinity of Intercourse, Pennsylvania.
We hope for even better results in Dallas, Texas at National Conference 2011 „TSA - Snapshot of Innovation“.

Open Day of Wilhelm-Ostwald-School

Today, the Wilhelm-Ostwald-School invited parents and young students of whole of Leipzig to experience the atmosphere in the school. TSA Ostwald was represented to illustrate the fantastic opportunities TSA offers. Further, the parents were extremely excited about the excellent extracurricular education of our chapter, which arouses team spirit and promotes creativity, innovation and achievement.
