Structure and setup

The Technology Student Association has the “Student” not only in its name. Officers are bearing the tasks of organization on all levels. The advisers are supporting them, especially juristically, because many officers are not full-aged.

There are many more awards than trophies in TSA.

There are six officers on every level:

  • President (Leading the sessions, organization, contact to all members and teams)
  • Vice president (Support and surrogacy of the president)
  • Secretary (Logging, advising the president and vice president)
  • Treasurer (Contacting and caring of sponsors)
  • Reporter (Gathering news and writing articles)
  • Sergeant at Arms (Salutation of guests, attendance list, carrying the flag at the conference)

The officers are not totally bound to their tasks but cooperate and decide together with the other officers and advisers.

The tree levels are:

  • Regional (The single schools with their chapters)
  • State (States of the USA and guest countries)
  • National (Whole Technology Student Association and National Conference)

Many members of TSA are not only striving for trophies and finalist pins with their projects, but want to climb the ladder of officers. The six national officers therefore enjoy quite a fame among the other members, but had to achieve very much in order to get to their position.

There are two more important awards for TSA members:

  • Honor Society (Award for special engagement)
  • Gold Achievement Award (Award for the most successful and most engaged members)

The members are nominated for these awards by their chapter officers and then confirmed by National TSA.
