History of TSA Ostwald
2000: After an exchange year in the United States in 1999, excited Reinhard Höll brings the idea of TSA back home.
2001: The german chapter of TSA was founded. In June the young chapter attends its first National Conference with 4 students and Mr. Stelzer in Richmond beginning a continuing and successful tradition.
2002: The team participated with 5 students at his second TSA National Conference. Next to the very good results, a scholarship for the Arts Institute was won by the students.
2003: Only 4 students participated again at the third conference in Orlando. They got a first place and a top ten placement again.
2004: Mr. Häcker becomes new chapter advisor, supporting Mr. Stelzer with his work.
2005: After Mr. Häcker left TSA-Ostwald to take up a new position at the Landesgymnasium für Hochbegabte (State High School for the Gifted), in Schwäbisch Gmünd, where he founded a spin-off chapter, Mr. Januszewski joins the TSA as a new advisor.
2006: The most successful member and president of the Chapter, Stephan Max, leaves TSA after his A-Level Exams. An effective cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology begins.
2007: With three first places in prepared projects and two more top ten places, this year is our most successful to date. Dr. Jost takes the place of the retiring Mr. Stelzer as an advisor, who continues to assist the Chapter and its support fund.
2008: At the National Conference in Orlando the team won three second places and three top ten places. The whole team is very satisfied with this result.
2009: The TSA-Ostwald-Chapter connects with the chapter from the Abingdon High School in Virginia and builds an international exchange program between the both schhools. Next to three top ten placements, a first place trophy was achieved again!
2010: Many new, young members came to TSA-Ostwald after an extensive promotional campaign. So today 20 creative heads are working hard for the projects in Baltimore.
